LHC SMTP / Office 365 Mail service

Hey,

Has anyone ever gotten LHC configured to send mail through an Office 365 tenant? When i try any of the steps in the technet article below, i get the following error:

"SMTP Error: Could not connect to SMTP host."

I've read through the other post on the forum regarding unchecking "SMTP" in the LHC settings, but then i get: "Could not instantiate mail function."

Also tried with my Gmail credentials as per the gmail set-up process, and am getting the same errors.

Hey Marco,

No luck, i've been using the tls://, but tried both 587, & 465 and got the same results on both.

I've also done the google set-up to test with as per the article, and received the same errors on that also.

With tls? same issue? You have also to check if the port 465 is open on your server.

Yup, same with TLS, i'll double check the firewall's on the server / gateway. Both should have that port open but i'll double check when i get home. Thanks!!

Thank you. Check also in Google to have activated in the settings IMAP or pop3

Marco, Looks like its working now. I Gateway firewall was blocking port 465. Opened it up and it started working with my gmail credentials. Still cant seem to get it working with my Office 365 credentials and their server information, but i found a work around through an on-site SMTP server.
