I am setting up Live Helper chat in our company. We are using our internal jabber server for notifications. I was just wondering - there is a 'XMPP' username filed in each user's profile. What is it used for? It would be great (optional) idea to send XMPP notifications to all department operators with XMPP username defined in their customer accounts.
This would be much more user friendly than to fill in list of 10 usernames for each department in department details. We have also set up multi user chat feature on our jabber server, but this in not very useful for us (poor new muc messages support on clients sides - Pidgin, Miranda,...)

LHC can send notifications to groups, not only single users.

thank you for your reply and for your hard work. I have already set up group messages / multi user chat. But for some (company internal practical) reasons, this is not ideal for us.
Please take my idea as suggestion for future versions - option to send individual message (= notification for new chat request) to all operators in department to their XMPP username stored in their user profile would be great.

I am sorry for beeing such a pain in the *ss this morning, but this feature seems not to be working for us after update on 2.31. I have double checked everything - XMPP server is set in admin panel, test messages to my username works. Checkboxes in current department configuration are checked (Send XMPP messages to all department operators etc.), user has his XMPP username filled in (same username as for test message). No message come to my jabber client after new chat request.
Could you please advise, what am I doing wrong?

Just in case - some relevant screenshots. I have tried some config combinations on our new department, but did not figured out where the problem could be... Is someone else having the same trouble with this feature?
