Cannot login. Lhc chat is installed on subdomain. I always get "Login was not successful". I have changed the .htaccess file as recommended. User has the administrator role. Could anybody give any advice what to try else?

Hi, welcome in the live helper chat forum!
I'm sorry for the error you are facing. Are you sure credentials are correct? Umh the error should be different so seems is not a credential issue.
Do you have this issue just in the mobile? This happen in the browser or where, in the LHC app?
From Desktop are you able to login?
Have you tried a different browser?

I have checked the Login and password several times.
Do you have this issue just in the mobile? - YES
This happen in the browser or where, in the LHC app? - Only in mobile version (android)
From Desktop are you able to login? - YES
Have you tried a different browser? - I have tried to install the mobile version on different devices, but I got the same result on all of them.
There is one more interesting moment, that I mentioned:
I dont have https certificate for subdomain, but if I put the https instaid http - I get another mistake: "Control character in string"

Maybe not having HTTPS can be an issue for the mobile app.
If I well remember I read this issue somewhere.
Today should be not difficult support HTTPS with let's encrypt certificate or maybe a cheap SSL service like ssls.com where i bought certificates in the past.
If you are not able to use HTTPS you can try to login by the web interface in a mobile device, app maybe will not work without HTTPS.

I can't help as it's your personal server configuration issue. For that is commercial support.
And as app tells remove slash at the end of url.
And try url like "https://chat.tatianatur.ru/index.php" as you are not using nginx configuraiton to support URL without index.php

Umh the strange thing is also in the first screenshots where the final slash was not present the error of character is so be sure to have not included spaces or other strange strings.
Also seems you are not forcing SSL, this can also be a cause of the issue: your chat still be loaded in http, I suggest to force https and this is server configuration.
You can maybe do this adding in the root folder an htaccess directive; you can look on Google how to do.

Looks like it doesn't matter what I type at the end of url line. I still get the same mistake. I will try to force server to work with ssl and post the result a little bit later.

Let us know, let also know what version of the Android app you are using.
Have you downloaded and installed from the Play Store?
I use the mobile app in a server that force HTTPS and I have no issues

Yes I have downloaded it form Play Store. I don't know how I can check the version of app, becouse the only window I get is login window, and I am not able to go further.
There is something else

Try
"https://chat.tatianatur.ru" and check append index.php to url.
That's all I can help. Aslo make sure you are using correct nginx config as now https://chat.tatianatur.ru/site_admin/user/login/ is throwing an error.
Also check that you are using nginx/apache configs. As seems you have some nginx or apache working together.

Try to ping me on discord. As with invalid logins I don't get this error. You can try to remove server and add again as fresh one.

This error is also shown if invalid logins are provided looks like.
So I can verify this error not incorrect one is shown if logins are incorrect. Make sure you have not made error in your logins.

I agree, looks like reinstall the server is the only way. I just succsessfully connected to demo, so the problem is definatly on server side. After that I typed a wrong login/pass and tryed to connect to my server and again I get the same mistake.
