How to keep Chat window floating?

Is is possible to change a setting so that the chat box always floats in the current window/tab instead of opening in a new tab.  It seems to open in a separate window when the current tab window gets smaller than a certain size and there does not seem to be a reason for that because the current tab is more than large enough.

Sorry but I think is not possibile as the system will decide when open the chat box in the widget or when there are no enought space and will be opened on a new window on tablet or mobile.

I would imagine that somewhere in the code, there is a pixel amount where the script decides whether to float or open in a new window. If you can find that number and make it lower or change it to 0 or 1, then you will probably get the effect you desire... however setting it too low might have negative consequences if it wasn't designed with floating mobile access in mind.
