Auto minimize the windows client chat to system tray

Hello,

I have downloaded and installed the windows client chat from here: http://livehelperchat.com/var/lhc_dc_qt5.zip.
I have configured to run when the windows starts up and it runs with normal windows, but I want it to automatically minimize to the system tray.

Please tell me how to do, Mod? Anyone know how to do?

Re: Auto minimize the windows client chat to system tray

Hi,
I AM back with update for your case question.

First of all I want suggest to use the web version instead of the windows client, this because windows client seems are not updated as is the web version and there are also knowed issue like: when operator is typing user cannot see your are typing, etc.
Actually you don't have the possibility to start the program minimized at the windows system try.

I suggest tu use Firefox for manage chats from the web version, if you decide to try the web version,
this because Chrome have issues on notification sound when the browser is minimized or not in first view.
This issue is not depending on LHC but is depending from a Google Update of Chrome.

I hope this informations can help you!

Re: Auto minimize the windows client chat to system tray

Thank you for your reply - update!
Once you are logged in the web version with Firefox,
you can go on settings >> live help configuration, chat configuration and press "request notification permission" blue button than allow always in your browser (you will see a pop up in your browser who ask to allow).

Also if you are not at the PC and the chat is online without operator I suggest to set a redirection to the offline form in the department settings if no one reply in example 10 minutes (600 seconds) so users can leave an offline message. Be sure to have configured the SMTP email settings or you will not get emails. Also your profile email and department email should be a valid email address.

Hope this can solve your issue.
Let me know how is going if you test it!

You can open a topic in GitHub by requesting to add in the windows client the possibility to start in the system try bar but I think it will be not implemented as updates for windows client are frozen for now.
