Chat sound notification works half the time

Using Chrome with Windows 10

Sometimes I am getting sound notification of new chat requests.  Sometimes I am not, nor receiving a popup notification.

It happens half the time.

I notice it I don't hear the sound, and I am away from my computer, when i come back, I see the popup notifiying me, and when I click it, that is when I hear the sound.

I am also no longer receiving email notifications of new chat requests and I don't remember where that setting is so I can double check that.

thank you for your post.

Chrome has introduced an update in their browser who seems give this sound notification issue.
When your Chrome browser are minimized or not in first look, you don't hear notification.
Is not a problem relative to the Live Helper Chat seems but it's how Chrome works after this update.

You may want alert Chrome of this by the Chrome support forum or by sending a feedback from the browser.
I can suggest to use Firefox for fix this issue. Seems also Chrome wont' change the update and fix the problem who are existing since lot of month.

For the email notification about new chat, accepted chat or closed chat try to edit your department and check if you have activated here email notification, so you will be able to turn off.
