API: Is there a way to take a chat as active chat?

I'm currently developing a client for use in our company and I'm trying to use the information on this page. Sadly the documentation is everything but good. Currently I'm struggling to find a way to accept a chat that is pending. Either there is no way or it's missing in the documentation.

And no the "official" client is not an option.
