I downloaded the latest version from here just to be sure I was running a latest version.
Now it is no longer working
No visitors are shown in backend and the help widget just "spins".
I downloaded twice and uploaded 3 times just to make sure all the files were being uploaded.
Now it does not work. In addition, some pages in admin are returning error 500 (Chat Lists, Admin theme, etc)
Please advise.

Hi,
thank you for your post! I can remember you and your academy website for past support request on this forum.
Please check your server error log, there you can read more specify why you see error 500.
I upgraded to the last 2.46 at the month start and for me is working fine.
When you downloaded last time the package? Did you follow the update procedure here: https://livehelperchat.com/article/view/63
I AM in vacation right now so I cannot see your website from a desktop but from mobile seems I cannot see your chat widget.
My suggestion is to look into server error log.
Thanks

I cannot access server logs right now.
I used the update procedure as I always have and tried both methods.
Running uppgrade.php produces
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected '[' in //livehelp/lib/models/lhchat/erlhcoreclassmodelchatonlineuser.php on line 703
It is almost like there are missing files in the latest version on github.

I was already running 2.4.6
I downloaded latest version from github and overwrote just to make sure it was latest.
Now it is a mess.
Where can I download previous zip files to ensure latest github upload is not corrupt or missing files?

And this
Running uppgrade.php produces
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected '[' in //livehelp/lib/models/lhchat/erlhcoreclassmodelchatonlineuser.php on line 703

IT'S very difficoult the last 2.46 is corrupted to not work completely. It's more easy you have configuration issues.
However you can see version and download from livehelperchat GitHub page:
https://github.com/LiveHelperChat/liveh … t/releases
Here there are previous version.
For download the current last version 2.46 you can follow the link on the live helper chat website.
But errors you indicate are very strange... seems there are wrong character on the file from your log.
I can suggest to try to open a GitHub Issue and link also this topic so some one of the livehelper chat can check if there are errors on the last package file.
Thank you.

Remember to do a backup all time before you update an app so you are able to resume the previous version in issues case.
Good luck!

What version of PHP are you using? Superior to 5.4?

superior to 5.4
The point is I really didn't upgrade, just reuploaded from the gitub, and now it's broken. Seems to point to that syntax error.

Remdex fixed. Thanks

Maybe is not PHP 5.6 where the issue is not present.

Actually it is NOT fixed.
While the admin has been resolved and it tracking visitors, the front end, still the chat request just spins...and cannot launch a chat.

The conductor.allegrorainbow.com page isn’t working
conductor.allegrorainbow.com is currently unable to handle this request.

Hi,
This is OK, you can do.
Sorry but no issues with PHP 5.6 for me. If you are using an oldest version please remember use last version of program or server component is more secure... use old server component can be a vulnerability to your server and you can have errors on not compatible updated software.
This is an Open Source Project,
Also free support are limited. Commercial support is available.
Good luck :-)

MY issue is that you changed the code WITHIN the same 2.4.6 version. IT was working fine with our PHP until I replaced it with a NEWER 2.4.6 version.
If you are going to change the code and no longer support earlier versions of PHP, it should have been done with a version 3.0 and an announcement, that way people can choose not to upgrade.
