The problem that I am having is that clicking on the embedded widget on the bottom right after closing a chat reopens the chat. After using the chat in a pop out window, closing the chat and answering the survey questions, the chat is reopened when I click on the embedded widget. This doesn't seem to happen when I using the widget on the parent window rather then the pop out.

my suggestion is to ask you to try to reproduce this issue on the demo of live helper chat.
If you are able to reproduce and think this can be a BUG / Issue you should open a detailed topic on GitHub at this address: https://github.com/LiveHelperChat/liveh … issues/new
also specifying with version of LHC are you using and steps to reproduce also in the demo.

I can't seem to reproduce it on the demo instance. The way we have the system configured there are multiple Start Chat Form Fields and a survey at the end. When the chat is closed in a pop up and the chat window is reopened it does not display the Start Chat Form.
Any idea on what may cause this?

So if I well understand (and please learn how to report your issue as I show here):
You have a live chat,
1. chat widget is clicked than you click on the button for switch to pop up
2. operator close the chat so user see the survey on the pop up, do the survey and close the chat
3. user click again on chat widget and don't see start chat but see what? Survey again?

On step 3, when the user clicks the chat widget, the start form is skipped and led back to the chat with the previously typed messages.

I am running version 2.46. The issue seems to be unrelated to survey, I just disabled the survey and the problem seem to persist. `chatwidgetclosed` doesn't seem to be called when closing the pop up window

So maybe in the settings > | Live help configuration | > chat configuration > | Misc |
you need to disable options:
- Reopen closed chat as new? Otherwise it will be reopened as active.

`Automatically reopen chat on widget open` option yielded the desired results.
