CHAT -NOTIFICATION

1)    First, when you get the notification that someone has visited your website, you have the option of messaging them first (chat invitation).  However currently this only pops up when the visitor changes pages or refreshes the page.  For this i have tried number of times but
Its Not able to check the options "Automatically check for messages from the operator/invitation messages ?".After check the option it automtically go to uncheck..what can i do?

2)    Also the audio notifications to say you have a message only sound when the chat tab is live in the browser.  If you have it running in the background whilst using another program on top, you don’t get the notification until you click on the browser tab again.  Not really convenient, any way to change this?

3)    Compared to the options shown on the LiveHelperChat forum, there are very little options for us in the Chat Configuration (Settings, Live Help Configuration, Chat Configuration)  Can we get the full options available to us?  I.e. Enabling track user still on site

4)    Is it possible to change the audio notifications?  They are very short and easy to miss.

5)     The location map showing visitors location doesn’t seem to work, any ideas?

Re: CHAT -NOTIFICATION

Hi Rajaram RA,
welcome in the Live Helper Chat Forum!
Thank you for your post!

1) When you generate Embed code you have to select "Automatically check for messages from the operator/invitation messages ?"
2) This is a BUG with Chrome. I don't know if Google decide to keep this stupid settings and force that but if you use Firefox the issue is resolved. Also Chrome was working well before an update some month ago who change and create notification issue. It's a Chrome issue not LHC so maybe use Firefox who are not affected by this and alert also Chrome support about this issue.
3) What version are you using? Are you with Admin LHC account? Is not possible you have less option. Are you on hosted or self hosted situation?
4) On settings, Live Help configuration, Synchronization and sound settings on New chat request notification settings you can choose How many times play sound notification. This has been set as default to 1 but you can put 500 or 1000
If you don0t like this solution you can look also at this guide to change sound: https://livehelperchat.com/how-to-chang … s-70a.html
5) this is more complicated to assist you. Maybe I need assist remotely you. Please try to start a chat with me. You can try to select as GEO detection configuration the MaxMind. You need download packange here: http://dev.maxmind.com/geoip/geoip2/geolite2/ integrate in your LHC and activate "User city based detection, slower" in LHC

Re: CHAT -NOTIFICATION

H and sorry Munib,
I cannot understand you. This is Live Chat support not private message system.

When you chat you don't need to know about new message. When operator write a message to the live user user can hear the sound of new message also the window title is changing for let user know about new message.
No other option will be available I think, is enough.

Re: CHAT -NOTIFICATION

Hi Munib,
this is not supported at the moment BUT this seems to be a great idea!

I have tested on the demo of Live Helper Chat and if I start a chat from visitor side than put the widget minimized and operator write to the user a new message... only the sound are played.
As you told should be in the header something to let the user know the sound is from the chat... like a title with "New message" ... is a good idea!
I have created for you a Feature request for future version.
You can see and subscribe at https://github.com/LiveHelperChat/liveh … issues/867 so you will be notified by email of the progress of that request.

Thank you!
