Error in starting a chat if custom field is created

Hello All,

Due to some reason I accidentally deleted the https://forum.livehelperchat.com/viewtopic.php?id=1677 thread using which below Github bug was opened.

I will provide the description about the issue as per description provided in the earlier thread so that the developer who will work this will get the required information:

I have created a video as per your above comments to show the error I am receiving after adding the custom links. Please check below link for the video I have created:

In the above video, I have followed below steps for generating the issue:
1. Installed the live helper chat latest version on our local server and login into the admin panel.
2. Further I click on Chat-> Online visitors and send message to the frontend user available.
3. User receives the message and able to reply to the same without any problem. The admin received the reply from frontend user and chat goes on.
4. Now, I go to Settings->System Configuration -> Live Help configuration and click on Start Chat Form settings.
5. Here I click on Custom fields tab and adds 2 custom fields using the provided option and click update. These custom fields displayed fine in the front end in the offline form as per settings done from admin panel.
6. However, now when I again go to admin panel and follow the steps mentioned in the point no. 2 and 3 for sending messages to Front end available user, the message delivers from admin but when front end user tries to reply to that message the NetworkError: 503 service temporarily available error occurs in the Firebug and message don’t get delivers as chat window goes unresponsive.
7. We tried this feature on multiple servers and it gives same error again and again. We installed the latest version after downloading the live chat from below link:

I hope the above description will help you people in generating the error. Looking forward to a response from your side.

I tested this functionality on demo of live helper chat as well and I am able to reproduce the issue on same as well. Please check below video I have created for the same:

Hi Marco,

Just curious to know whether the posted bug on GitHub will be resolved in this version itself or we have to wait for the new version release for this bug to resolve.

Hi munish,
yes I agree with you but I never know.

Before 2016 when a BUG was reported on GitHub the fix was very fast (1 day).
But now there are a BUG opened from different month

also this one:
https://github.com/LiveHelperChat/liveh … issues/836
is maybe little bit serious as make the offline form not work in the last version in some cases.

Also the BUG you reported here and I have opened is maybe important.
You can (if you want) sign in or register to GitHub and see the topic I have linked here. You can write comment on that topic or just press Subscribe in the right button so you will be notified when a BUG interesting for you receive updates or is flagged as resolved.

Time on BUG fix not depends from me smile and we have to be grateful to the chat owner for this amazing live chat project.
Maybe as this is a not paid chat... the chat owner have to have free time for work on IT.
Maybe this month are more busy and hope all those BUG will be soon fixed smile
