Right now, our Ubuntu system is only configured for Sound notifications of pending chats.
Is there an option for Desktop Notifications on Ubuntu systems for pending chats?
If so, where do I find the appropriate information?

Hi PaulIngenu,
thank you for posting your question in the Live Helper Chat Forum.
Are you using Live Helper Chat in a software (chat operator client) or in web browser?
The web browser work same on all operative system I think.
Actually are supported sound for pending chat, sound for new visitor (if activated), sound for messages.
When there are a pending chat and browser is minimized and have activated also Desktop notification the sound are supported. If you are using an extension or browser closed only notification I don't know, maybe here is possibile there are no audio.
Maybe some one else can reply better here,
this is what I know
Hope can help a little or take my message as welcome message to your question.
Thank you
Have a great time!

Thanks for following up Marco.
I am using Live Chat Helper as software. Pending chat notification via sound is working fine, however, I am trying to configure a Desktop Notification (pop-up) for pending chats on these Ubuntu systems and I do not see how it is done.
Any other Ubuntu users on here having the same issues?

I think you should try a compatible browser.
Maybe Firefox and activate notification from settings, live helper configuration, chat configuration, request notification permission.

Thanks again Marco.
I use Live Chat Helper with Firefox. I tried the suggestions you mentioned and I am still not receiving desktop notifications. This is very strange indeed.

Hi PaulIngenu,
in the Live Helper Cha side I see all are working fine and I AM using Firefox on Windows and also notification of LHC without issue.
Maybe you can try to write into Firefox forum or Ubuntu forum.
Have you pressed the blue button "request notification permission" on Live Helper Chat page?
Do you have the same issue on the demo of the live helper chat?
https://livehelperchat.com/demo-12c.html
(you have to try in the demo if pressing the blu button and looking for chat will do the same issue).

Usualy is showed a notification only first time after that if you press again the button for permission you don't see nothing.
You maybe need ask on Firefox forum or Ubuntu forum.
