Fatal error after upgrade

Hello, Hope all is well.

I upgraded LHC to the latest version following the steps found here: https://livehelperchat.com/article/view/63

It all looked fine, and works well, up until I needed to sign into my account from a new computer. At first I was receiving a general server error message (500), but after following the steps found here:

Now when I login I received the message:
Fatal error: Call to undefined function password_hash() in /home/caykca/public_html/chat/lib/core/lhuser/lhuser.php on line 159

Not sure if there is a simple solution to this problem, but I am not a programmer, so hoping so!
(Though I am technical enough to get LHC installed, and such.
