Hello,
I am using the chat in "Page embed code" mode inside my website within a reserved area accessible after a login process.
I am already forwarding (using the method dscribed here https://livehelperchat.com/pre-filling- … 140a.html) each session user's name as a parameter for the backend.
Since each chat has an identifying ID, I would like to know if there is a way to use the same chat for the same backend user until that chat is canceled by the backend user.
For instance: website-user x will always find embedded chat x each time he logs in until back end-user y closes that same chat.
Which parte of the code should I work on to make this happen?

for that you should wait a reply from remdex who maybe is very busy so maybe you can have to wait r you can receive the reply later.
As from I have understood you want create a chat in reserved user area integrated with your website where chat is never closed and loosed until user not close it.
So if user keep that open and close browser the next day will have the chat opened at the same point.
This maybe is an issue in the operator console where you will have too chat opened. Is very confusing.
I don't know if this is a good idea and if is actually possible.
Also consider maybe this can be a customization so if you need fast support think to the commercial support once you know the commercial support can maybe help with that.

Actually in my project is The operator (backend user) that closes The chat.
My website sells answers to complex questions and what usually happens is that The client/user poses the question and while waiting for our reply closes The chat canceling the existing chat session and its content. I would like to modify The code to allow the client/user to go back to The previous/original chat (as happens with facebook messenger for instance)

Hi Alessandro,
maybe you can use OsTicket extension https://livehelperchat.com/osticket-extension-394a.html so when a chat is created is also opened a ticket. If user close the chat you can follow the ticket and reply to that but for this maybe you must set email as mandatory.
You will need also installing OsTicket, it's free.
Or for what you ask you have to wait here a reply from remdex but I think is not possibile do that for free maybe with commercial support but is a customization.
