Support Forms

Is there a way for me to create a form that the agent/support person can be filling out while they are in a chat session with a client?On submission, this would be emailed /and/stored to db.
Is there already a function or module for this?

Hi,

I suggest to have a look at forms module. You could create a form, and while talking just give him url to fill a form.

Thanks for the reply.

If I understand the form module correctly, it basically just builds a form
for you, that you can then upload to a url of choice and then load like any
other webpage.
It also seems like this is intended for the visitor, not the support
person.

For the support person, this would require tabbing or jumping back and
forth between the chat client and the form.
I.E.: http://www.mydomain.com/lhc_web/index.php/site_admin/
and the form.

I do not know your architecture yet, but I was hoping there might be a way
to have the form and chat integrated together for support person use.
The support person would be asking the customer questions thru chat and
filling out the form themselves, not the customer filling out the form.

Hi,

I understood your idea. What you want to achieve is somehow map filled form from forms module to chat. At the moment we do not have this functionality. The only advice at the moment you can create custom form. And just manually enter form data, and chat it to which it's related. I will fill gihub enhancement request regading your case.

Anyway this was not planned at the beginin, just was curious would anybody need this functionality, but it seems i will have to do it in any case.
So just wait while it will be implemented smile

Similar, but not exactly the same. Your idea is separate one. Main idea is just integrate form filling based on forms module. Filling should be done by operator or visitor. Your idea is more like simple form. smile

Maybe I just donâ€™t understand how your form module works.
I was thinking it was just a simple form code generator.
