SugarCRM Intergration

Does anyone know if there is a SugarCRM integration or is there anyone going to be building one at all please?

Well,

At the moment there is no such plans, but if you wish to support one of these development then it would be done much quicker

Hi Have no experience in writing such programs. I was purely asking as it would be a great benefit to our organisation and most likely others if you was planning on doing a integration.

I keep getting this error when integrating with the url SOAP-ERROR: Parsing WSDL: Couldn't load from 'http://hostname/sugar/soap.php/create_lead' : Extra content at the end of the document

Can you give any pointers on the url you used please and additional fields.

Most likely sugaCRM bug itself, because here it works...

Try to enter WSDL address like
http://example.com/sugarcrm/soap.php?wsdl

Also make sure bottom part of this wsdl points to your server

<service name="sugarsoap">
<port name="sugarsoapPort" binding="tns:sugarsoapBinding">
<soap:address location="http://example.com/sugarcrm/soap.php"/>
</port>
</service>

The plugin works well to include the lead both online and offline. The problem is when we will update the data from the lead, it simply gets on the screen loading but nothing does.

I know a platform as they provide built in CRM software and also provide SugarCRM integration. Yeah, SugarCRM is a pain... but you normally develop "plugins" like you would for WordPress, and you decide the structure of that code once it's properly attached; you almost never edit the sugarCRM code itself.

You can try to help your organization calculate the cost of SugarCRM maintenance vs. running Salesforce... for very small teams, Salesforce is usually cheaper, especially if you have someone with Salesforce skills... for larger teams, Sugar is more likely to be cheaper (though not better in most cases)

Finally, ask how many days per month they allocate for SugarCRM-related activities; if it's not a lot, go for it; in the end, the "issue" of SugarCRM vs Salesforce will occur in most firms at some point, and it's beneficial to have knowledge of both from a commercial standpoint.
