Problem with top menu extension

I've used the file "top_menu_extension_multiinclude" to add a new item to top menu
but how can I give a link to this li menu; I've tried to create some similar files from lhc to make a new page for this menu but it redirects to the home page of LHC, and I've tried to redirect it to an external site but it redirects to the home page too . What I have missed please ?
