How to add contact details to the chat?

How can we add details like name and email to the chat which has been closed or on any new chats?

When the user initiates a chat using proactive invitation, they can reach us directly.
What is the wayout to fix the name and email for future reference for search option under closed chats.

In chat window, there is option to edit main chat information by clicking pencil.

It worked like a charm.

The unfortunate thing is I didn't utilize this feature from the very beginning and I have about 6 months records pending and now accomplishing this manually.

I want to assign this task to an operator or a moderator  to handle this backoffice work doing the updates.

But this feature is not working other than the role is set as an administrator to work on closed chats.

Can I get a solution?

Hi,

You have to assign operators role this function
lhchat => modifychat
Chat module and this permission
"Allow operator modify main chat information"

As for six month this feature was implemented not so long time ago, few weeks ago i ques so in any case they did not had such option previously

You do not have permission to access the module "front" and use "use" function

I have assigned the roles to on particular group and assigned the user to that group.

Checked with the user priviliges. I am getting to see a red bar with text You do not have permission to access the module "front" and use "use" function

Only back option is available.

Sorry,

But if you are creating new role, you will have to assign more than one function. Please take look at operators role what default permission it has. Also for permission to take effect operator has to logout and login.
