ignore IP online visitors
Is it possible to ignore selected IP addresses on the online visitors page:
index.php/site_admin/chat/onlineusers

Yes. There is option for that in chat configuration.

I looked all over the place in the chat configuration area, and don't see where you can ignore a selected ip. Will you please be more specific?
