You can try to upload 50x50 size of photo. In any case it should be resized automatically.

Sorry - it doesn't work ... Error says:
File could not be saved. 50 x 50 px .jpg
Where can I work on the checkbox, colours? Placement?

I ques then there is some issues with your LHC make sure you have all required folders in var folders and they are writable by system.
