Multiple visitors listed for same visitor

Hi,

In my online visitors list, I'm seeing multiple entries for the same visitor when they move from one page to another page.

I would expect to see only 1 entry for each actual visitor, and that entry update as the visitor navigates around the site.

Does anyone have any ideas as to why this might be happening?

Thanks in advance for any input/suggestions.

Re: Multiple visitors listed for same visitor

Most likely you just misconfigured cookies settings. See
https://livehelperchat.com/how-to-confi … -259a.html

1. Try to enter domain for which you are generating embed code
2. Disable HTML5 storage if it's enabled.

Re: Multiple visitors listed for same visitor

Hi,

Thank you for the reply.
Changing the settings around didn't seem to fix my issue (or may be not hit the correct mix just yet).

If I change any of the settings in Chat Configuration > Misc, do I need to re-generate the Embed Code for each site where I'm calling LHC software from?
If yes, this might be why my changes aren't taking effect?

No you don't need. regenerate embed code. Can you send to my email your domain? where you are embeding code?

Re: Multiple visitors listed for same visitor

Issue resolved by setting the correct https cookie settings, and removing the entry in the first field (leaving the domain name blank) as the chat is called from multiple sites and not just the site where the chat software is hosted.
