I am having a problem with a new installation using the latest build.
I am using Chrome. I navigate to:
https://myserver.mydomain.com/lhc_web/index.php/site_admin/
I login with the user and password. When logged in it says "Live help is online" on the customer website.
If the customer begins a chat it says to wait for an agent.
- When logged into https://myserver.mydomain.com/lhc_web/index.php/site_admin/ there is no notification of a new chat waiting. - If I click on CHAT LIST -> PENDING CHAT it shows the pending chat but if I click on the OPEN A NEW WINDOW icon to chat with the customer it brings me to a blank screen with a URL of https://myserver.mydomain.com/lhc_web/index.php/site_admin/chat/single/4- The software will tell the customer "Live help is online". The customer will start a chat and after the chat it started it will say, "There are no agents logged in" (see image below).
I have disabled cache and 'chmod 777 /var/www/html/lhc_web/* -Rf' to make sure there are no permissions issues. I have created a new operator and logged in with the operator.
Our agents use Ubuntu. Do we need windows clients with the Windows Desktop client installed for this to work properly?
This is the screen we get when clicking the NEW WINDOW icon next to the customer's name (as seen in the image above).
It is very frustrating. I am clearly logged in and I am online but I receive no notification, the customer is told I am offline and I receive a white screen whenever I try to chat with a customer.
Any suggestions on how to proceed?

Sorry but it's your server issue, please debug to know whats the issue, there is a article in documentation how to debug white screen. And right column is empty. Please see your server error log

I have no doubt it's a problem with my server. This is a crappy namecheap VPS. Namecheap has great DNS but their servers are absolutely horrible. Thankfully it is only a dev server.
Just trying to understand if this is common? If so then what are some common things to look for?
I'll move a test install to a production server and see if I have the same problem.

I just wanted to post that moving to another server resolved the problem. Sorry to bother you!
