It thinks this way just for 5 minutes. There is timeout setting in back office.

How do you (is it possible) for users of the Windows client to go online when opening the client, and to be marked offline when the client is closed?

If seems if you open the client, go online, then quit it, LHC still thinks you are online...

Excellent - found the timeout.
Is is possible to force the Win Client to go online when it's opened?

It will go online automatically. as soon first sync request will be executed.

Just don't set to low timeout value i recommend to keep it aroud 30 seconds or minit.

Slightly related - but slightly worrying - I note the Windows Client user password is stored in plain text... ;-)

That's why there is option to store password or not.
