Notifications to mobile app on iOS

I have tried everything I can to get notifications working.  Using the latest version as of  7/1/2021, iOS version 14.6 (iphone), Live Helper chat mobile app version 1.6.

I have notifications enabled in Mobile settings

I have notification for Live Helper chat set to always.  No low power is enabled.  Other apps work just fine for notifications.

I deleted the app and deleted the session. Then reinstalled.

I can only get the notifications as soon as I open the app. It will not send when phone display is off or even if in another app.

Thanks for any insight.
