Required field & department visibility

Hi, can I make every field optional including the message field from start chat form?
Besides, how can I hide other department that is not assigned to the operator from chat list? (see image below):

Also, the search function is not working, I was choosing a specific department then I clicked on "search", the result below is not filtered(still showing all department's chat)
