Is it possible to log out operators based off of a certain amount of time? So for instance if you set the operator to go idle after say 5 minutes a box comes up and says do you want to stay logged in or log out. Could we make it so it logs them out automatically from that instead of choosing? Or could admins be given the ability to log out other operators at will?

Hi joemdev,
welcome in the live helper chat forum.
Here you can find documentation:
https://livehelperchat.com/documentation-6c.html
If you look into settings, live help configuration, chat configuration, misc you can find operator inactivity options also in the single operator profile.

I've parsed through all that and couldn't find anything about allowing admins to log out operators. Or for operators to be logged out when they go inactive after a certain amount of time? and I do nto want to install the desktop app or use google chrome extension.

You can set inactivity time for operator, you cannot logout after a timeout.
If you want you can open a GitHub request, more info on my signature.

Yes, you can do it go to:
settings > Live Help Configuration > Chat Configuration > Misc > Scroll down where it says: "How long operator should go offline automatically because of inactivity. Value in minutes"
However, I wouldn't recommend you to use it, because you may lose a chat from 1 or more clients in your website.
Cheers!
