Hi yes0223,
thank you for your question! I tested last version of Live helper chat 2.97 https on http website.
Session are not lost once the chat is started and user change the page.
Try to look at this guide: My users looses chat session then they navigate through the site, duplicate online users records

thanks for the reply.
I have reviewed my configuration and it seems to be correct, the problem only happens when my site I execute it with http, closes the chat session. How should the embed code be, since my chat works with http and https.?
Please help
Also the problem I have is that when I run my chat with http, the login user does not recognize.
Why is this happening?

First: if your chat is under SSL check that SSL is forced, you should be not able to load your chat without SSL. (Good security configuration - this not mean your install is done weel and safe just is a way to be more safe)
Second: you can check to have not set any domain on settings >> live help configuration tab >> chat configuration >> Misc tab.
Be sure to have https: on Please enter explicit http mode. Either http: or https:, do not forget : at the end.
In the Embed code try to not insert any domain.

Seems in your embed code you insert the domain this can be the issue.
You should try to regenerate the embed code without put any domain than try again.
Also your live chat installation has not https enforced, as you are supporting SSL i strongly suggest to force SSL on the live chat.
If you use Apache you can do with .htaccess file, more info can be found on Google "how to force SSL on a folder, Apache"
