Cant log in

Hello,
I just installed LHC on our companys intranet server. Now, I can't log in. I tried to change password as described in another post here, but it didn't work.
When I enter a known wrong password, there appears a red message that tells me that account or password are wrong. When I enter my intendes right password it says nothing but i'm not logged in.
Die recover password email is not send. It says: Could not instantiate mail function. I added a valid email address to setings.ini.php. I also set any error reporting options to 1 / true.
Could someone tell me what I'm doing wrong? Thanks in advance.

Sorry, but this issue is your server issue not LHC itself. Please check your server logs perhaps there is some errors. Really no idea.

Hi,
there were two entries related to this projectnullmailer-inject: Invalid header line:  From: Live helper Chat <>  Unable to parse the addresses.
[Thu Apr 03 11:45:28 2014] [error] [client 192.168.128.72] File does not exist: /home/www3/default/chat/public/favicon.ico
But the mail address is set up correctly here. Any ideas?
