Hi there,
I have used live helper chat in the past on another Magento 1.9.3 store but this time i cannot get it working. I have LHC installed all okay on its own server but when I paste the code into header.php i get nothing on the front end. The code is all the when you inspect element so it is not a caching issue. I'm sure I have made a mistake somewhere but I'm all out of ideas.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi carlpiper,
are you trying to put an http chat under https?
You can test your Embed code

I wasn't no, I had the option selected that allowed for either. I will have a play and look at your links.
Thanks,
Carl.

Hope you had a good weekend.
I tried my embed code on http://htmledit.squarefree.com/ and it works perfectly, on
But when i tried on https://htmledit.squarefree.com/ It did not, With the same setting as above and with it set to https: mode.
The website I'm trying to install it on is https://, so we've found the issue.
My next question is how to fix it, as that setting made no difference.
Thanks,
Carl

Hi Carl,
the week end was fine thanks, I hope yours too!
Maybe if the widget did not work on https is because address of the chat does not support https.
What is the URL where the chat is installed?
I suggest to force chat installation to be always https. f you support https you do not need use insecure http.
Https chat will work on https and o http websites.

Yeah i just figured that out after i had sent that reply.
I'm going to reinstall the live helper chat under example.com/chat instead of chat.example.com so i can use the same SSL certificate and I will try again.
Will be sure to let you know if it doesn't work.
Thanks,
Carl
