Pass more information for online users

On the online users page there is an "i" icon, is it possible to pass more information to this icon.
Like username etc.

Yes possible. Fill github feature request and enter what you want to see there.

I think this would be a great idea!
I have some users who are logged in and some users who are not.  It would be nice to be able to identify my logged in users by username or email.
By identifying the user I could engage in a more personal proactive chat.

You can get user info in online visitors list by click user icon. Have you tried that?

I understand that by clicking the user icon I can get info like pages visited and IP.
I know how to pre-fill my chatbox with username, email and hidden fields.
But its my understanding that I wouldn't actually see that information unless the user initiates the chat first?

Right. But it would be nice to be able to pass and see more information about the visitor before the visitor actually initiates the chat.
For example I would like to pass some of my session variables to the chat widget so that way when viewing Online Visitors I can determine who they are before any chatting even begins.
I understand that someone could fool with the data because it is being passed client side but would be a nice addition to Visitor Information.
I have attached a picture of the Visitor Information popup.

Yes, that would be a nice feature. On our old chat software you could see all details about a customer even if they did not initiate a chat request. Even things like the keyword they used in search engine, etc.
Excellent software by the way!! It has definitely made our customer service overall much better and communication with customers very easy and efficient. We noticed an immediate difference switching from our old chat software to yours! Thanks!

I understand what you want.
That you could pass some custom variable to online visitors list.
Let say username, is user logged and so on. They would be just presented but nothing more.

Correct.
Similar to how Additional Data shows up when an operator is engaged in a chat with a visitor.
