Trouble upgrading (1.69 to 1.85)

Hi,
I'm upgrading a clients chat and everything seems to work just fine, except the chat itself. it's from 1.69 to the current version, 1.85. The widget pops up when an operator is online as usual and lets you enter a message, but when I try to send a message it just shows the spinning wheel (http://donatello.no/lhc.png). I've tried to do a complete install on another server and it works fine, so there must be something going on with the upgrade.

I've done the upgrade the following way:
- Set templatecache, templatecompile and modulcompile to false- Updated settings-file.- Overwritten index.php as it has changes.- Overwritten doc, ezcomponents, lib, modules, pos, translations- Overwritten defaulttheme and backendtheme- Done SQL-updates update_52 until update_65- Cleaned the cache- Set templatecache, templatecompile and modulcompile to true

Any ideas? I'm using PHP 5.3.

Hi,

Follow this and see output. I ques you have missed some updates in settings/settings.ini.php file.

Re: Trouble upgrading (1.69 to 1.85)

Thanks for the fast reply :-)
Warning: Unexpected character in input: '\' (ASCII=92) state=1 in <removed>/lib/models/lhchat/erlhcoreclassmodelchatonlineuser.phpon line 284
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING in <removed>/lib/models/lhchat/erlhcoreclassmodelchatonlineuser.phpon line 284

So I tried to comment out line 284. I then get the same error, but on line 298. When I commented that one out, everything seems to work fine. Is it a bug or is it a configuration issue on my side?

Re: Trouble upgrading (1.69 to 1.85)

You are definetely not running 5.3 PHP version.

It's error of lower than 5.3 PHP version.

Re: Trouble upgrading (1.69 to 1.85)

You're absolutely right. I just checked what the webhost said they used. They're actually running 5.2.16.
Thanks!
