Cannot LOGIN (Fresh Subdomain INSTALL. Login screen only refreshes)

I cannot login to LiveHelperChat after installing on my site's subdomain.

I do a fresh install on my website's subdomain (fresh MySql db too). Then when I attempt to enter the set username and password and click LOGIN button, the screen simply refreshes and clears the username and password.

NOTE: THERE ARE NO error messages appearing on the screens either during installation or after installation when I attempt login, however, errors and warnings are on the server error log during both the installation and first login attempt as well as all subsequent login tries (where the screen does nothing but refresh when username and password are typed in and LOGIN button clicked).  Please HELP.

Where subdomain.mydomain.com points to /hermes/pathfolder/htdocs/mainfolder/

and the LiveHelperChat's lhc_web folder is installed on /hermes/pathfolder/htdocs/mainfolder/lhc_web/

Installed without registering error and everything seems to go as smoothly and according to tutorial installation instructions, up until I attempt to log in. Then the screen simply refreshes.

Something not right with session settings on your server. Contact with your server admin if there is one

Thanks.  I found the solution to the problem on another forum to fix the session setting in the index.php file.  FIXED and WORKING.

INSTRUCTIONS I USED:

The problem was that the default session directory was not writable, so it can not store session.

To any user that has the same problem, here is the fix:

open the file: [LiveHelperChat instalation folder] /lhc_web/index.php

After the line 9 on the index.php file:

9     ***_set('session.cookie_httponly',1);

add this:

10     ***_set('session.save_path','/tmp'); // to set the default session directory

Thanks, this was helpful. We're running in a docker cloud container, where the primary installation is mounted non-writable and /tmp is not accessible. Setting the session save path to a temp directory on a writable mount fixed the problem.
