Hello
can an operator know if the visitor has read the messages?

Sometimes may be usefull because you do not know if user could not read or didn't want to reply.
In first case the operator could recover the chat via whatsapp if user left the phone number

I was not able to find any setting about this feature.

Hi delbono72.
Operator can actually only know if the message has been delivered.
Seems there is no present a functionality that check if the message has been seen on the screen or not.

You can maybe try to ask for a feature request in GitHub but maybe wait some day a reply from the developer here.
