Xabber in Android doesn't receive chat messages

Hello all,
I am new to Livehelperchat. The installation was very simple and I got it installed with no problem. I ran into problem when I wanted to configure Xabber on my phone to offer Live chat support. On the control panel, XMPP settings, I have setting as attached in the screenshot. On my Android phone Xabber app, I tried adding XMPP and gtalk accounts, both showed online but messages sent from my website weren't received.
I have chat notification XMPP messages ticked as well. Attached is a screenshot for it as well.
Can anyone help me sort this out? Thanks!

Hmm.. i think my hosting company doesn't allow port 5222. That might be the cause. What can I do to get around it?

Hi,
Few things first.
1. Make sure that you receive a message during test button click in xmpp configuraiton. "Send test message"
2. If you are using gmail two step authentification make sure that gmail allows you to authentificate. You may need to create a password for application.

No other way to know what's the problem.

I am not using 2 step authentication.I can't receive test messages, it showed timeout. However I changed the port to port 80, but received auth fail instead.

If timeout your hosting is blocking it. Do not think it's possible to find solution for instead instead to find another hosting.

Hmm.. i thought so too. Do you know of any free web host where i can install this? I only need to have this live chat for personal use. Thanks!

I'm afraid not. Just this problem does not come out with even small vps. About shared hosting really don't know has anybody tried to do that.

Is hosted.im something i can use? It keeps talking about providing hosted xmpp but I do not really understand it.

Hello,

iÂ´m curently also playing with this gread Live Helper Chat.
XMPP works until yet not really but iÂ´m working on it.

I host LiveHelperChat on my own Server so i opend Port 5222 and Auth works now, also no Timeout.

Everything else will come.

Okay until yet, XMPP settings say.
Settings updated green
XMPP message was sent succesfully green

But i get no message, also Gmail, Hangouts or in Xabber on Android...

Sorry, but here all works.
1. Make sure there are no pending chat request permissions in gmail left column

2. Test message is send to logged operator email if using GTalk for messaging.

3. If using standard XMPP settings there is a field for test recipients.

In any case all works here.

Wont work for me.

- I have all Incoming and Outgoing 5222 Ports TCP & UDP opened
- In XMPP settings its active with XMPP standard XMPP-Service.
there host: talk.google.com (standard), Port: 5222 (standard), Sign: my google mail with password, Resource: xmpphp (standard), Server: gmail.com (standard.

Nothing else.
Save works, also Send test message both succesfully green.
But in Gmail, Talk, Hangouts no message come. Also no Message from a real user on homepage.

I also switched to User Account settings and put my Gmail Adress into XMPP Username.

Until yet,
i put another mail address into test recipients: individual recipients. With this setting, i get in gmail a window from ME with the text from XMPP settings.
But its not listed under my Talk contacts and also not shown on Xabber on my phone.
Also i get no message, when someone use the help on homepage.

okay. how should it be if it works correctly?

a user on webseit open the help, give his name and message and send it.
in meantime iÂ´m (operator) logged in in LHC. There i get correctly the message, that a new help is here.

Parallel, on correct configured XMPP i should get in Gmail a window with the new request? also message and the url? should this is shown under my contact list as youÂ´re above? with a green circle?

would be very happy if we get this work.

Something like thatSettings options, just there is unchecked xmpp messages

aaah okay okay.
This option is under departments.
Thank you very much. The content and Accept URL comes into GMail as in youÂ´re Screenshot.

But only on desktop version from GMail. Okay think this is very app depending but i hope you have solution, that i see this message also on android hangouts or Xabber or somtething else?

I think a direct chat is currently not possible in any way from Android?

Well on my phone i see on xabber android version. GTalk app on android phone does not support messages to self. Just read documentation.
