sub-window

I would like to have a sub-window that only shows basic 2D instruments (knots, turn coordinator, artificial horizon, compass, altitude, rate of climb). I would like to be able to have this sub-window no matter what instruments are programmed into the 2D instruments of the model. Is this possible? Can I build my own basic panel and have it show up in a sub-window?
