Leave Message Function Doesn't Just E-mail

This is an odd one...

On some occasions, when all operators are offline, we provide the facility to leave a message.

This displays correctly from a visitor view but when you leave a message, it doesn't mail me anymore.

When I log back it, it just shows as a pending chat.

What am I missing please?

Hi RichardO ,
I suggest to try to generate and send a test email, for do this please open live helper chat settings, mail settings.
Here press the test button and check if the email is delivered; if not you have issue on your system. Checks SMTP data or check your server mail logs.

Offline message should be notified also by email so i am asking to you to check if other mail generated from LHC are working or not.

I've done the test and it's working absolutely fine... just not when people leave an offline message - very odd... sad

i tested this for you and the offline message was sent ad received correctly.

I am unable to find issue.

Are you able to reproduce this issue on a new install?
Means you need try to do a parallel test install.

Please check on your server side... if you are using SMTP you can check your email log to see if email was sent.
