Undefined variable: currentUser

After doing a new installation, and trying to log in to the admin, I get the error:

Notice: Undefined variable: currentUser in D:\home\site\wwwroot\lhc_web\cache\compiledtemplates\b884498ec7ea6df4074843d67f7ab1dd.php on line 2

Can anyone shed light on this for me, or where I might find, or define this variable?
