PHP filling online/offline form

Hello,
Thanks guys, this is proving to be a great asset.

I do have a problem though, the widget is used for all pages except admin/staff pages in a joomla/php site. if a user is logged in, I do require at least a *user_id* field to be auto filled. I can provide a PHP variable $user_id on the same page as the javascript for the widget, but how to include this variable in to a text or hidden form input?
