Deleting messages from a CHATBOX

Two questions re: chatbox

1. Is it possible to delete previous messages from a chatbox? Perhaps from the administrator side of the application?
2. How can I set the chatbox to be "muted" (for new messages) by default on the client side?

I've tried looking, but can't find a way to block a user by IP address in chatbox. Is this possible?

Hi jstobbe,
you have done goods questions however my help is more focused on the live chat functions because this is maybe the focus also of live helper chat so... in your case I suggest to ask all this questions on a GitHub topic where the chat owner (programmer) can see your questions and reply to it for your paticoular case.

I tried to look at the documentation and also old forum discussion but never find a way to help you.
