Start chat box with a simple link

Hello. I need to do a simple task but I not found information in the forum. Maybe you can help me...

I want change the way my customers open the chat windows. I want change the sticky message on the page for a simple link I will put on the heater of the site. There is a way to add javascript code on the page and open the chat with a simple href link like "Open chat"?

I know this is possible and some user has already done this with a javascript code.
Unfortunately I do not know how to do that. When I given help to an user that have made what you are asking I have asked how they created that and told to me they have look on the Internet and followed instruction but was not able to provide the direct link.
Maybe a search on the web can help.

If anyone will post here the way to do that I will add a FAQ article in the forum.
I AM sorry to cannot help you more with that. I AM a voluntary and passionate user of LHC. The chat owner cannot give many help here as his time is very busy and maintain an open source project is imperative.

Please let me know.

You have to place the Embed code in the page and select option in the Design tab: "Invisible"
so once you add the java link and user click on it the widget will be showed.

If I understand what you mean, just make a button on the page and the link will be your root domain example livechat.domain.com. This is the chat link.
