Chat tries files from previous location

Hi

I had change chat location.
Chat was available at /lhc/lhc_web and now moved to /chat.

I can open chat login i.e. site_admin, but all js and other are missing since it is trying to load /lhc/lhc_web
I can't login since it redirects to lhc/lhc_web.

Could it be possible to clear caches or something?

Hi,
welcome in the Live Helper Chat Forum and thank you for your request!
Please remember: when you change patch, directory name to a web app you will have issue.

You need sometimes do changes also in the database not only in the files so is a complex process.
You need to know how to do or the better option is, when you want change patch,
consider to do a new install.

My suggestion is to make a backup of your previous working LHC (the old patch LHC) if you have not already,
than you need search in the database all old link and replace with the new patch.

If you don't know how to do maybe you can look at Google.
I cannot assist you on this change as is your server change...

I will maybe consider to ask to create a guide in the documentation for when LHC has to be migrated in a different address.

This is bit perplexed. At my localhost I probably had vhost for /chat which was actually /lhc/lhc_web.

Last night I transferred it into live server. I was working quite well but had some issues with htaccess since /chat is included inside drupal folder.
And still has htaccess issues too.

But this problem aroused from the fact that when LHC was in /lhc/lhc_web is was requesting assets from /chat.
Now that I've moved it into /chat it is requesting from /lhc/lhc_web which is really weird but which is partly explained by cached resources.

We'll see what comes.

Usually I don't give support to who want move from localhost to web because I think if you decide to test in localhost than you are expert to choose to move on the web if you decide to move and do not a clean install on the web. I cannot support everyone who are doing this. If you start from web you will not have any of this issues.

Same for who change domains name or folder name. This is a complex situation where I cannot support people to manage their server or hosting. Is not something related to LHC. If you change domains or folder you will have issue whit all app not only LHC. However I have requested for the future a page in the Documentation who can help users in this situation.

Okay, now it works perfectly. I think that the major problem was actually my browser.
Firefox seems cache everything and forever.

But when I've got the time I could try to gather some kind of summary.

I AM happy now all is working fine. Is good to use the Private Surfing for see the no cached version.
