Hi, i disabled cache as mentioned in documentation and tried to load the theme from customtheme, edited several times widget_override.css, even created a file called widget.css in that folder and nothing.I just see changes when editing directly the file getstatus.tpl.php in the folder /defaulttheme/tpl/lhchat/
what i am doing wrong? just need to change the CSS for the widget in our site, please help!

You can style status widget, not content itself, just by adding some CSS to your site using !important flag.

It's possible using important flag, and adding css to your site page css or by overriding status template. This article states which template you have to override. http://livehelperchat.com/article/view/59
