Hi all, if the chat box is showing operators offline and a customer sends a message instead, where does the message go to, as i can not find any messages in the admin area when i log in to search for messages that has been sent in when operators are offline?

Hi, offline message is fowarded to the right department email. No mail will be sent or receved by you if you dn't setup correctly email settings.
There is no way to find offline message sent from user inside operator control panel.
