Hello,
I got a configuration problem: When I tried to install this to my remote server, the page shows me "Make sure that "cache/*" is writable and then try again" and a lot of arrays followed after the Notice information.
One of the arrays says "[message:protected] => Directory cache/cacheconfig/ not writable!"
Would you please let me know what shall I do to my remote server(I use Cpanel)? Live Helper Chat works perfectly on my local machine, this problem only happens on my remote server.
Many thanks!!

Hi tea, is a new install?
Strange because Live Helper Chat do a test before install about folders permission.
Are you using suPHP and now is disabled?
Can be different the issues... maybe the cache folder has wrong permission.

Hi Marco,
Thank you so much for responding! What do you mean suPHP? Shall I disable something?
I checked the cache folder but do not know which variable or array needs changes.
LiveHelpChat runs very good on my local machine, but it goes into trouble on my server. Both of them are using the same installation package. Not sure why...

I think the issue is you have installed in local and after you move the existing installation on the hosting (online) this cause folder permission issue.
You can try to put 777 to cache folder and see if works.
I AM not sure is correct and safe. The safe way is start new install, you can try to install a new HC and see what permission have cache folder.

Hi Marco,
Thank you so much for your help! The cache folder has four sub folders, which are cacheconfig, compiledtemplates, translations and userinfo. Do you know which file in which folder I can write 777 in?
Thanks again~

Sorry, don't know.
As suggested you can install a separate LHC and after completing the setup you can look with permission have each folder

Hi Marco,
Thank you so much for your help! I was unable to find out the download link of lhc_web, all I found were links of lhc_dc.
Would you provide me a link to download lhc_web, otherwise I will download the wrong package.
Thanks!

Hello Marco,
Thank you so much! And one good news I just got is the package works (change the permission to 0777 according to your suggustions) on my server now. However, it shows me "Is the php-pdo extension installed No".
Can I skip this (keep php-pdo extension unenabled)? Or I have to enable this? Is this going to cause any trouble if I leave it unenabled and uninstalled?
Please let me know, Many thanks!

Hi tea,
I think as is in the check you should have... but if you can continue you can try without. I never have this issue as in my server situation all is installed in the initial check by LHC. If you see issue you can consider to install and enable that
