I'm not really sure where to begin.
1. I have two websites. Will I need to install this program in the directories of each website?
2. Do I use FTP to upload this unzipped or zipped files to the GoDaddy server?
3. I have Linux hosting with cPanel. I read the Documentation but I don't see anything on actually getting the program installed on my server.
I don't need hand holding, just a nudge in the right direction.
Thanks

Thanks for those links. I read them before I posted and they don't really explain what I'm asking. I think I'm missing the big picture.
Let me break it down. Lets say that I have a website hosted by GoDaddy, and that the website URL is www.someurl.com
1. Do I need to log on to FTP and upload the unzipped live helper chat files to www.someurl.com/index.php/site_admin/install/install URL
2. "install URL" can be any folder name I want? For example, if I want, it can be www.someurl.com/index.php/site_admin/install/livehelperchat
Thanks!

If you looked more careful you would see that
www.someurl.com/index.php/site_admin/install/install
Is just URL request it's not a folder etc.
So if you unzip it would be like
http://www.someurl.com/lhc_web/index.php/site_admin/install/install

Thank you. That's the part I couldn't wrap my brain around. I'll give it a shot.
EDIT: And to be clear, I will need to do this with every website I own that I want to install live helper chat on, correct?

No,
LHC supports multiple domains from single installation.

Dang. I cant even get past step 1 (a) of the installation tutorial. I uploaded the zip file to GoDaddy. I was able to unzip it just fine. I can explore the folder structure in cPanel.
The website I am running is http://lawrencebankruptcy.com
When I point my browser to the install path http://lawrencebankruptcy.com/lhc_web/ I get this message: "It looks like nothing was found at this location. Maybe try a search?"
I made sure I uploaded .htaccess and php5.ini as well.
Any ideas what I am doing wrong?
Edit:
Same results with:
http://lawrencebankruptcy.com/lhc_web/s … ll/install
http://www.lawrencebankruptcy.com/lhc_w … ll/install

I made sure I uploaded .htaccess and php5.ini as well.
I did that. For the .htaccess the code is "AddHandler x-httpd-php5-cgi .php" like on the above link and NOT "AddHandler x-httpd-php5-cgi.php"
i.e. there is a space before ".php"

I think maybe I will just try having you host the program.

Or better, try to contact with your hosting. I just know that these godaddy issue can be fixed.
Just always a lot of trouble with cheap hosting

Remdex/Administrator - I do not want to trouble you any more, so I will not ask you for help. However, if ANYONE else has installed this program on GoDaddy, I would really appreciate some help here. I see there are a lot of views. I'm surprised no one has any insight into this?
Thanks
