It still gives a logon error in the configuration windows, but if I close the app and reopen it, it will come up as logged ind and seems to work.
There is room for improvement, but it looks really promising, thanks!

Hello.
The Windows Phone version doesn't work any more - "old version detected, please update", and the update link points to the same old version.
Is there a problem with windows phone update ?

Hello, your message is not clear. I am not sure I understand which windows phone version you are referring to.

Re: Livehelperchat messenger - (Open-Sourced) - Updated 29-07-2019

samapraku,

Many thanks for creating this Android app. I am having some difficulties getting it working on my android phone and tablet.

I've installed the GCM extension into the correct folder, and I've been able to successfully login with the app, it just does not send me any notifications.

Is there any advice you could give?

Thanks,
Jess

Hi jess.c,

If the extension is set up correctly, then the notification should work.  You can try the following:

1. Kindly go to the extension folder in your livehelperchat
extension/gcm/settings.ini.php

2. Check if the field  'fcm_reg_ids' => array ()   contains some device id strings.

If it does, then your extension is setup properly.

If not, open the app , Menu (drawer) and
select the 'Server Info'.
Click on the 'Sync server' in the top bar

After that, open or refresh the file - extension/gcm/settings.ini.php  to see if the device id is now registered in the file.

If the device id is saved to the file, then you should receive the notification.

Let me know if it still doesn't work.

Hi,

I have checked that file, and there is information under fcm_reg_ids array

I get entries in "Pending chats" and "Active", but my phone doesn't pop up with a notification, if i'm in the app or out of it.

Not sure what else I can try. I've made sure that CURL is enabled.

Thanks for your help so far smile

I have uploaded a new version of the app. I fixed some bugs related to notifications so the new version should resolve the notification issue.

Hi krish_st , welcome on the live helper chat forum !
Live helper chat doesn't have an official application for smartphone, you can use the web browser.

I cannot give support to unofficial app that use is at your risk.

Re: Livehelperchat messenger - (Open-Sourced) - Updated 29-07-2019

Hello,

i have installed the app and the newest extension from the github repository.
I get a notification upon new chats and the registration of the app in the settings.php also seems to work just fine.

Yet I am concerned as I always see this message at the bottom:
Extension update: Click me for more details

In the details I see this message:
You can now receive notification when the app is active.....

I have downloaded and installed the newest github version. As the app is being registered in the settings.php I also assume it should work.

What am I missing? Why is this message constantly showing up?

Regards
Azrael

Hello Azrael,

I thought I fixed the popup issue in the current app release available on playstore. However, it appears the bug/issue still exists.
You can ignore it for now as it doesn't have any effect - you are seeing it likely because of weak internet connectivity.
I will try to improve the extension version check logic in the next release.

Best Regards

Re: Livehelperchat messenger - (Open-Sourced) - Updated 29-07-2019

Hello Samapraku. I tried the app but always shows the message 'Login was not successful' when I try to login in the Android app. Of course I followed instructions at detail, including insert code  0 =>'gcm' in settings.ini.default.php file, upload 'gcm' folder, all for nothing.   sad  The URL to LHC it's a bit weird in my case I guess: mydomain.com livehelper index.php site_admin user login
As you will note, after index.php LHC included  'site_admin user login'. "Append index.php to address" option is unchecked, but anyway the result is the same: 'Login was not successful'. Using mentioned URL I can login perfectly in any PC (mydomain.com livehelper index.php site_admin user login). At this point I don't know what to do next. Any ideas about what to do please? Thanks in advance for your kind help! I had to remove slashes in order page allow me send this message.

Hello,

If I understand you correctly, you are  using this url :

mydomain.com/livehelper/index.php/site_admin/user/login

That is not supposed to be the URL you have to use. You should simply use the url pointing to your LHC installation directory or sub domain.

mydomain.com/livehelper

I forgot to mention one thing. If you have configured your website to use https, then you have to use https:\/\/mydomain.com/livehelper

I have experienced situations where login fails without using https.

Also remember to try for when Append index.php is checked or unchecked.

If it still doesn't work, maybe I can take a look at your configuration.
